ASL for hearing children

ASL beyond baby signs

Would you want your child to learn another language?

American Sign Language (ASL) is the 3rd most common language in the US. It is the language of the Deaf community. ASL is widely accepted as foreign language credit at universities.

Would you want your child to excel in spelling and reading?

Research has shown that children who sign score higher on IQ tests, are better readers and spellers.

Is my child too old to learn ASL?

Of course, NOT. Anyone can learn another language, no matter what age. Do you have a toddler, or preschooler or Elementary school child? They will all love to explore using their hands to communicate. ASL is such a great language for children to learn. ASL is not hard work for them; learning ASL will be a breeze. And you as parent will be amazed at how fast your child will pick up this exciting and new language!
Please don’t stop using ASL once your baby starts to use words!
Let ASL be your and your child’s companion everyday no matter what age your child is!
